About Beidaihe

The Beidaihe Scenic Area is in Beidaihe District, southwest of Qinhuangdao. From the mouth of the Daihe River in the west to Yingjiao Pavilion in the east, it is 10 kilometers long and 2 kilometers wide. The Daihe River flows through its western part and faces the Bohai Sea.


Beidaihe enjoys a semi-humid continental monsoon climate. There is no bitter cold in winter and no blazing hot in summer. The four seasons are distinctive from each other. The annual average temperature is 11.2.The hottest weather occurs in July with the average temperature of 25¡æ. The coldest month is January with an average temperature of -6.5¡æ.The rainfall is 551.7 Millimeter all the year.


Beidaihe is a district belonging to Qinhuangdao city, which is located in the east of Beijing, about 300km away. Qinhuangdao consists of three districts: Beidaihe, Haigang and Shanhaiguan districts, each of which has many beautiful places. Yanshan University is located between Beidaihe district and Haigang district. More information can be found from the following links.
