WAIM is a leading international conference for researchers, practitioners, developers, and users to share and exchange ideas, results, experience, techniques, and tools in connection with all aspects of Web data management. As the 15th event in the increasingly popular series, WAIM2014 expects to attract participants from all over the world to Macau, a famous city in China, and continues to establish WAIM as one of the major conferences on Web-based information systems.  The purpose of the conference is to identify challenging problems facing the development of future knowledge and information systems, and to shape future research directions through the publication of applied and theoretical research findings of the highest quality. The program will foster collaboration and bridge the academic-commercial gap in the database, information retrieval, and knowledge management communities. WAIM 2014, which will be held in Macau, China will attract the best graduate students, researchers, and practitioners from academic and industrial institutions in the China and around the world, and offer unparalleled opportunities for recruiting top talent.

Sponsorship opportunities

WAIM offers a variety of sponsorship opportunities suitable for both large as well as small organizations. Sponsors of WAIM gain visibility for their organizations demonstrate their support of critical information retrieval, databases, and knowledge management related research and development, and contribute to the success of the conference. Four levels of sponsorship are available:

    – Platinum: 15,000 USD
    – Gold: 10,000 USD
    – Silver: 5,000 USD
    – Bronze: 3,000 USD

Benefits for each of the levels are provided in the following section, and the sponsors may discuss the specific benefits that may be more suitable.

Sponsors will also have the opportunity to sponsor individual awards and events with reduced benefits.

• Awards – WAIM is offering opportunities to sponsor student travel awards and best paper awards. The sponsor’s name will be announced and prominently displayed during the awards ceremony.

• Events – WAIM is offering opportunities to sponsor a conference luncheon, a conference reception, and the conference banquet. During these events, the sponsor’s name will be prominently displayed and the sponsor will be offered 10 minutes to make a presentation for the purpose of recruiting and/or advertising. WAIM is also offering opportunities to sponsor student luncheons — these will be offered to student attendees at the time of registration. The student luncheons will give sponsors direct access to students that have already shown an interest in their organization, thus providing an excellent opportunity for recruiting. The sponsor is responsible for catering the student luncheon at a local venue.

In addition, sponsors may discuss with the conference organization for other sponsorship ideas.

WAIM2014 sponsors at all level will be listed in the conference program distributed to all attendees, and on the conference web site, with an active link to the sponsor’s home page. Depending on the level of sponsorship, a sponsor will receive the following additional benefits:

Platinum Sponsor

    • Recognized as Platinum Sponsor in the conference program
    • Five (5) complimentary main conference registrations with special corporate support ribbons for your staff
    • Exhibit space for the duration of the conference
    • Unlimited number of company-provided items in the conference bag
    • Special recognition during the plenary sessions
    • Full-page black-and-white advertisement in conference program and large logo on conference bag
    • Large posters indicating Platinum Sponsorship at registration booths and during the coffee breaks and conference banquet

Gold Sponsor

    • Recognized as Gold Sponsor in the conference program
    • Three (3) complimentary main conference registrations with special corporate support ribbons for your staff
    • Exhibit space for the duration of the conference
    • Two company-provided items in conference bag
    • Large logo on conference bag

Silver Sponsor

    • Recognized as Silver Sponsor in the conference program
    • One (1) complimentary main conference registration with a special corporate support ribbon for your staff

    • Small logo on conference bag

Bronze Sponsor

    • Recognized as Bronze Sponsor in the conference program
