Call for Demo Papers

APWeb is a leading international conference on research, development and applications of Web technologies, database systems, information management and software engineering, with a focus on the Asia-Pacific region. The APWeb 2015 Demo program aims to bring together researchers, developers, and database users from the data management and Web communities. It offers an exciting and highly interactive way of demonstrating your databases, systems, services, middleware, and Web research and is an excellent way of advertising the applicability of your results. Proposals for demonstrations of products or prototypes based on innovative research results are solicited.

It is mandatory that all demo proposals describe clearly what will be demonstrated and how the contributions will be illustrated interactively. Optionally, proposals can include a URL that shows a preliminary version of the demo (e.g., screen shots or, even better, an interactive program). A BEST DEMO AWARD will also be given out to the best demo(s) presented in the demo session during the conference.

APWeb 2015 demo track will showcase leading-edge work and work in progress in every area of databases, Web, and their applications. We are especially interested in products or prototypes in the following areas:

* Advanced application of databases

Call for Workshop Proposals

As an international forum for database and web technologies, APWeb 2015 will accommodate workshops for research idea exchange on specific and relevant topics. These workshops will be held in the first day of the conference, September 18, 2015.

We now invite workshop proposals. The workshop chairs will accept proposals, based on the interestingness of the workshop theme, as well as the proposed size of the workshops. There are two types of workshops, one-day workshop and half-day workshop. One-day workshop usually accommodates one keynote and three research paper sessions, or two keynotes and two research paper sessions. Half-day workshop usually allows one keynote and one research paper session.

The workshop proposal should cover: 1) a clear description on the main theme of the workshop; 2) the personnel of the organization committee; 3) expected size of the workshop; and 4) candidate program committee with at least half members with commitment.

Accepted workshops are expected to have a web page with introductions to the workshop and release call-for-paper through different channels to attract submissions. Given the recognized web page and call-for-papers, Springer will accept the proceedings to publish in Lecture Notes of Computer Science (LNCS) series.

All workshop proposals must be sent to workshop chairs in pdf, docx or doc format. The email address of the workshop chair is:
